Life... 30 December 2005

Well, it's another year pass by. Of course, there are always bad things and good things happening around every one, i.e. for me, emotional break down, financial crisis, doubtful future, new toys etc.

Whatever has happened, I thank God for His mercy that allowed me to live until this day. I recognized that even though it's a tough year, it's going to be tougher and tougher in the coming years. In the middle of this, is a process of growing to know Him and to understand His purpose for me in my life. If somebody asking me what is the purpose of my life that set by Him, I would say that the only purpose that I know since the first day I knew Him, is to walk with Him. As I read from the bible, I recognized that God does not want a robot, but He wants a person with feelings and do things with willingness and sincerity. He wants us to accept Him by our own willingness and not by force, thus it is written in Proverbs - "The preparation of heart is done by man", which after we are willing to prepare our heart for Him, then He will come into our heart and rescue us.

He has performed a lot of miracle during this year, which unfolded His purpose before His churches. I'm looking forward to see His glory shining over the whole world.

He blessed me, even though I'm not blessed with wealth, but I'm still blessed. He has chastens me and corrects me in many of my wrong doings; He trained me to overcome the feeling of loneliness by encourage me through His words; He comforted me when I felt distress; He taught me things on how to be a humble servant; And, He taught me how to give and bless other people.

As 2006 is coming, I'm waiting to fill another white paper by filling in the things that He shall revealed to the church.

Amen

PG GAT-X105 Strike Gundam Done!!!

I've finally done with my Strike Gundam. It took me like 2 sleepless night to finish this fully detailed Gunpla, but it was worth all the hardwork to see the end result.

I'm very amazed with how Bandai design this Gunpla. The leg, hand, torso, and fingers, are all moveable and can pose a lot of pose! It's indeed a job well done by Bandai (Apart from the decal, which is very difficult to stick onto the Strike body due to the cutting of the decal).

I've taken some photoes with it, but I haven't have a chance to upload it yet. I'm waiting for a chance to upload my photoes of my first PG collection. Of course, what is for a Strike if it's without its striker pack, so I'm currently saving money to get the PG Skygrasper with Aile Striker pack.

Finished with the model...

Date: 15 December 2005

The resolution of the pictures is not that nice, but at least I have some pictures to post on my blog for the first time. Looking forward to post more quality pictures of my model.

It's very hard to come out with the pose for the ending scene - showdown of Strike Freedom and Destiny.

I wonder when will Infinity Justice come out, for it's such miss if only 2 of the 3 main characters Gundam are produced in this 1/100 scale.

Date: 12 December 2005

I've finally done with the modelling of Destiny within a day... After I've done with the construction of both Strike Freedom and Destiny, I put both of the Gundams for a pose in the TV series ending, where Destiny's excalibur sabre crashes with Strike Freedom's beam saber. It is very nice to finish both of Gundam. I bought both of the Gundam 3 months ago, but I only decided to assemble them like last week :p.

When I assemble my Seed series Gundam ( Aile Strike 1/100, Aegis 1/100, Buster 1/100, Duel Assault Shroud 1/100, Blitz 1/100, Freedom 1/100, Justice 1/100, Astray Red Frame 1/100) and my MG Master Gundam, I used scissors to cut the parts from the runners, then I used a pen knife to slice away the remaining of the runner.

Then, I bought one of my favourite, MG Wing Zero Custom, which I used the same method as above, but using the sand paper to sand the runner for the final work. It is from MG Wing Zero Custom also, that I decided to paint my Gundam model kit (now known as Gunpla, I think) and also to use putty to plaster the line between the assambled parts. It was a tough process, and even though the end product of my MG Wing Zero Custom doesn't look as nice as the one made by the pro, I'm still okay with it, at least it is not so dull.

After the experience with MG Wing Zero Custom, I decided to buy my self a modelling cutter when I'm constructing my only Seed Destiny series Gundam. It took me quite sometimes to finish Strike Freedom because I'm trying to do some experiment with some new technique that I learnt from other modeller on the Internet. After the experience with Strike Freedom, the construction of Destiny is shorter because I know what to do to faster the construction process.

Due to limited financial resources, I used a different color scheme for my Seed Destiny Gunpla instead of the original coloring scheme. I still maintain most of the original color scheme, which I only change the colour scheme to certain parts, such as the rail gun, small parts of the torso, and etc. I don't have money to buy air brush, compressor, and etc. I used Tamiya color spray can.

Now after I've finished with both Destiny and Strike Freedom, I'm waiting for time to construct my next gunpla - PG Strike Gundam. This is my first PG series, of which I bought at quite a low price. Apart from this PG Strike, I planned to get the Skygrasper with Aile Striker pack, so that I could have a PG Aile Strike :D. But that will be in the future when I have enough money to purchase it, cost the purchasing of PG Strike cause casualties to my wallet :(. Well, have to start to save money for a future house, future car, so that I could have my rooms filled with my Gundam :D

Renny's Hobby

UPDATE: 8th November 2005

Recently I played a game called Super Robot War Alpha3. Yes, it is the sequal and the last installment of the Super Robot War Alpha series. Just like the previous episode, it has 4 main characters to be chosen to play, and each will have his/her own storyline. Unlike the previous episode, there are no 3D animation; instead, Banpresto replaced 3D animation with 2D animation whenever there is a cut-in.

I noticed that most of the mech designs are still the same from previous alpha 2, which I quite disappointed, for I would expect some mech design like the one in Super Robot War MX. Anyway, I still appreciate alpha 3 because of its game flow, where everything is well flow.

I've finished the storyline for the first main male character, and right now I'm looking forward to finish the rest. Right now I'm in the middle of the second character.

Also, just went down to Singapore for a combination of holiday and work during the festive season. I just bought a pair of new shoes for my self and a pair of new shoes for my younger sister. I bought a Reebok Insta Pump Fury for her, which is quite cool and up to her taste. I tried to pump in the air, and it's really cool to see the cushioning of the shoes get filled with air! Such a nice technology developed by Reebok. In fact, Reebok pump is actually very famous during the 90's, and it's good to see that it has been revised and improved. Pump Fury is a revised version of the 90's Insta Pump Fury, which I always wanted to have. But instead of buying it for myself, I bought it for my sister, why? 'Coz I got another pair of shoes that I always wanted to get. The shoes that I bought for myself is AIR JORDAN XX! Yes, even though Michael Jordan has not been playing in the NBA anymore, but he still the best basketball player in the NBA that I like. But the Jordan XX that I bought is not the same as the one that is currently selling in USA and other part of the world, which is available in black and white. The version of Jordan XX that I bought is available in 3 colours - yellow, blue and red. I searched on nike.com and cannot find these 3 colours of Jordan XX, but I'm able to find it on Nike Hong Kong site. The retail store owner told me that these 3 colours are newer than the black colour that I'm looking for. I think that these 3 colours of Jordan XX is only available in Asia, probably to replace the black and white version due to the material used by it. Even the laser printing is not on the integrated covering strap of the shoes, it still look nice and trendy. Not to mention the technology used to make the shoes, which is the things that I like the most. When I tried it on my feet, it is very comfortable and light, and the shape of the sole is designed in such a way that will give more grip at the toe part, which is good for players who need support for acceleration and quick responsiveness. Forgot to mention, I bought the red colour version.

Yes, I like shoes and I like to study the technology that behind all of it.

UPDATE: 3rd October 2005

I watched the final episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny. My verdict is that the sequence flow very fast, yet most of the mystery has been revealed. Compare to last series, it seems like Gundam Seed Destiny pace is much faster, so there are some more things that we can't see in the series; in other word, lack of character development.

Kira certainly is the ultimate coordinator, by defeating Rey Za Burrel that easily, compare to when he is trying to defeat Rau Le Kruset. Also, this last episode doesn't has any dying scene compare to the last one, except the last sequence where Gladys, Rey and Gilbert in Messiah's explosion.

Strike Freedom, Infinity Justice, and Akatsuki survived, compare to last series that only Freedom survived. Speaking about the mobile suit, I personally prefer Destiny model kit because it is appropriate in portion, where as even though I like Strike Freedom, but the portion of the model kit is not as good as Destiny, especially the Xiphias rail gun, which is so big until both hands have to be wide open. I think Strike Freedom will look nice if a little bit of modification is made, which obviously I don't think I'm able to do so, so I'll let it as it be... probably.

I've been playing Playstation 2 for this pass few days, and I'm getting very tired... I can't believe that I actually sitting in front of the TV and throwing tantrum to a square box when I lose a game! Childish act, huh!

I was playing Super Robot War alpha 2 again and again, for I like the story line that the game has. It has characters that tied to the previous episode of alpha on Playstation, and also the one that tied with the alpha gaiden (side story). I've finished playing Zengar, Kushuha, and Arad, and half way of Ibis.

Managed to reveal all the Banpresto Original mecha, and each of them has unique ability - Dai Zen Ga is a unit based on power, Ryu Oh On is a unit that can handle well on multiple terrain, both Wild Vulture and Wild Falcon are designed for high mobility to handle close range and long range attack, while Alterion and Vegarion are designed for high speed close range and long range attack.

Sounds like Wild Vulture, Wild Falcon, Alterion and Vegarion are the same! No, there's a different may be... Wid Vulture and Wild Falcon are balance units, where as Alterion and Vegarion are lighter, and concentrate on the mecha maneuverability. Plus, Alterion and Vegarion can combined into Hyperion. I personally prefer Hyperion for the super cool weaponry and the high speed closed range attack GraMX. But, if the upgrades haven't been added to the pilot and the mecha, I think I will not like it :p

Certainly, a good game is a game with good storyline, and also with good playing scheme. Looking forward to the release of Super Robot War Alpha 3.

Notes on programming :p

Just in case that I actually have forgotten anything :p

Realizing that it's very important to keep the structure of the file directory intake, and at the same time to keep the file name as short as possible.

The reason? As we have too used to the operating system, that it allows us to key in any length of file name that we want. It's indeed a good feature, that it makes people easier to recognize the file immediately.

But, on the other side of the wall, it's a downside to people who wanted to write a software that reads content from a directory. If the directory listing, or the tree structure is too deep, and the file name is too long, then problem could arise when trying to make a installer! What kind of problem? File path exceeding limit set by the operating system.

Life...

UPDATE: 3rd October 2005

I'm having a difficult time this past few months, where I lost my direction on my purpose and also having a lots of problem to handle.

First of all, I don't know what to do with my carrier, as I'm so lost direction until I don't know what to do. I thought that I'm able to find something to work with in the office, but it turns out to be in the opposite direction.

Secondly, the youth is like a big burden for me, for I have to adjust my lifestyle in order to spend time with them. Plus, I'm not a good leader at all, so I'm trying to be one. As I tried, the more I tried to do it, I'll surely screw things up.

Lastly, I think I started to lost faith in other people... It might be cruel to other people, but that is what in my heart now... People will use their standard and what they see with their own eyes instead of their heart to understand other people and give opinion according to what they see. Well, I can't blame any body, for I have to expect that it is how life is.

Well, continue to walk on, for life is a long long journey before it meets its end when the glory prevailed.

I never really thought that I can be in such a state that I'm desperately need help from the one most high...

Some one might be wondering what is it like to be a Christian, where you can actually stay like a normal people and be normal! Why should you be such a fanatic dude!

Well, if anything can be explained, there's no need to study!
