Goodies...

1. I was surfing Gunota headline blog and read that the MG 1/100 F91 Gundam is going to be out in July 5 this year. If the expectation is correct, the F91 MG should be arriving somewhere in the middle of August or somewhere early September. I'll have to keep an eye on the pre-order sign. So, now I'll have to keep an eye on the pre-order of 1/100 Legend and this MG 1/100 F91.

2. Panasonic has finally debutted their first Digital SLR. I wonder when will it be on retail store. Now it causing me in a dilemma to choose between L1 and FZ7. The reason being - L1 is a SLR, which is the kind of camera that I'm looking for (even though it's pricey); whereas FZ7 is a powerzoom, which even though it doesn't have the ability or as nice as SLR, but it's capable of taking short video clip (and at a lower price compare to L1). Hmm... This I'll really have to wait and see. Furthermore, I don't mind to get the L1 only for photo shooting, 'coz I have my own Sony DVD camera already

1/100 Inifinte Justice Gundam

I've finally got the Infininte Justice Gundam that I've pre ordered. I still need to find time to build this kit. Looking at the colour scheme, I think I will change it 'coz I don't really have time to mix the colour. Plus, I'll be using mostly Tamiya spray can.

Judging by the construction menu, this kit indeed has improved a lot compare to all previous Seed & Seed Destiny kit. The arm especially, is able to bent twice like all pre-Seed, pre-Seed-Destiny HG 1/100 kit (of course the construction of the arm is much better compare to all previous kit). I just wished that Strike Freedom can be done in such a way as well, 'coz Strike Freedom is indeed not very porpotion, and very restricted. I just hope that they could come out with a MG version of Strike Freedom.

What I would like to have next? MG 1/100 F91, 1/100 Legend Gundam, and hopefully, MG/PG 1/100 Strike Freedom (If Bandai ever come out with one). Also, if Strike Noir, Verde Buster and Blu Duel also have 1/100 line model kit, I don't mind to get them too :D Just that I will have to suffer for a few months :((

Mobile Suit in Action - Zaku II

My friend just got me this little Zaku II from Jusco. This Zaku II is nice; even though at a small scale, but the construction of the model made it a playable version. Now I would have a hard time to find a place to setup all my Gunpla... I still have 3 model kit I haven't finished building yet - SD Freedom and SD Justice, and 1/144 Forbidden Gundam.

Well, I think I just have to find a week to do it then...

Fender Stratacoustic - Plug to AMP!!!

Today, I'm able to hear the sound produced from my Fender Stratacoustic guitar projected through an amplifier. Indeed it produced a nice sound! Not bad! It mades me eager to get my own amplifier as well. When my guitar played by my friend, it sounds really good; but when it is played by me, it sounds too soft. My friend told me that because I've been playing too softly... Yes, 'coz I don't want to play my guitar until the fret all wear off, just like my other friend's Ephifonge (don't know how to spell it and lazy to google for it). But come to my surprise, the friend that played my guitar, he owns a Taylor, and the fret, even though wear off, but it's not as bad as the wear off Ephifonge! Hmm... Probably some touch on the fingers.

I'm grateful that I bought this guitar. As I read from some website review, the Stratacoustic has a very bad reputation. Well, I don't have any problem with that, 'coz I like the projected sound - balance between treble and bass, thanks to its Fishman integrated amplifier in the guitar. Not bad, Fender.

Awaiting for my new Infinite Justice Gundam

I finally able to pre-order the new Infinite Justice Gundam at a price that I would consider as cheap :p. I just ordered it last week, it will arrive next week (17th June 2006). The one that I purchased is one of the first batch. Yes, it comes with a display stand, COOL!!! Still, I will not be able to upload the photoes 'coz I don't have a camera now. I'm still waiting for that Panasonic DMC-L1.

FIFA World Cup 2006 & New Jersey

Finally FIFA world cup 2006 is just round the corner. This year the event will be held in Germany. I don't really watch world cup because of the time zone differences - I will have to stay up late if I wanted to watch the match. If somebody asked me which team I would support, I would say Portugal as my first choice because of Christiano Ronaldo. I like to see him playing, especially his passion for football. Probably it just the beginning, but I do hope that his spirit during Euro 2004 final match will be the same here in the world cup, where he never give up until the end.

Speaking of world cup, of course there are new jersey provided by sports brand to each national team. I particularly like the jersey for Japan team from Adidas. It's very nice (and the price is very nice as well - RM 259.90). Still, even though it's nice, it's still made with the climacool technology, which Adidas has been using to made the team jersey since its introduction some years ago. Plus, I don't really wanted to pay for such a price because of the material that Adidas used to create the jersey, which I find it not very comfortable to wear.

On the other hand, Nike came out with a new line-up of jersey based on their new Sphere Dry technology. This time the design of the national team jersey is not as nice as the one from Adidas, for they concentrate more on the fabric design. The reason why it's called Sphere Dry is because underneath the jersey, you'll notice that there are ball-like shape stiching out all over the shirt, which according to Nike is to create space between the skin and the shirt, which allow air between the shirt and the skin for better ventilation and allowing the sweat to vaporize quickly into the air. Of course, the price for the national team jersey costed at RM 259.90 as well, so I don't really wanted to spend so much money for it. Instead, I bought a training jersey of Holland team at the price of RM 169.90. I would like to buy Portugal training jersey, but it's only available in green, one of the colour that I don't really like. I tried the Sphere Dry, and I would say that it's comfortable. Still, I prefer the Total 90 jersey design because of its lightness and very comfortable. Sphere Dry jersey that I bought tend to be very tight around the neck. Probably because it's a training jersey, therefore it's not as good as the national team jersey. Well, hopefully there will be a sale season that I could buy the new national team jersey at half-price.

Upcoming New Gunpla & Modified Gunpla

I read from Gunota blog and also from Bandai Hobby site that 1/100 Infinity Justice Gundam and 1/100 Legend Gundam are coming out soon. Infinity Gundam will be coming out on the 8th May 2006; whereas Legend will be released sometime next month. I always wanted to collect Infinity Justice to perfect the collection of Freedom and Justice. But it seems that it's impossible for me now, due to my financial ability that I don't even have enough money to survive for the whole month :((. Furthermore, this time the first round of Infinity Justice will come with a display stand too! So even though I have money to buy, I may not able to get the first round Infinity Justice.

Legend is even cooler! It will come with a special display stand for all 4 kits (Strike Freedom, Infinity Justice, Destiny, and Legend). I think it will cost a lot of bucks here, which again, I don't think I'm able to buy it. Oh well...

I found this NetModeller, a group of modeller whom modified Gunpla to the extent that amazed me! This guy, Keita for example, he's able to modify MG New Gundam into different version - Normal version or Gundam Evolved version. The Gundam Evolved version is especially nice! I like that. Plus, this guy even modified the Limited Edition of Strike Freedom Lighting Edition into a nice looking model kit. He can merged part from the limited edition together with parts from Perfect Grade in order to improve the joint movement and the whole mechanical sense of the model kit. I don't dare to post that picture here, for it might be copyrighted. But if they are living in Malaysia, they will have to be very rich in order to purchase all the parts, for it's every expensive here!

Cinema - Tawau

Wow, I can't believe that a cinema is finally open in Tawau, Sabah! My home town. After the last cinema closed down in 2000 when I came over to Kuala Lumpur to study, Tawau has been without a cinema for 5 years. The reason for the cinema to close down is because of the threat from pirated VCD plus the cost to sustain the purchase of film (I guess), which cannot be sustained even though there's business everyday. Last time Tawau used to have like 5 cinemas, and none of it survives until now; it is either turned into a church building or a supermarket.

This new Cinema (called Cineplex) has 2 screens, which only one is opened (the other one is in renovation). It is not a very comfort cinema because the seats are put on a flat ground, unlike conventional cinema that the seats are arranged on step. It makes very hard for short people to watch movie when the person sitting in front is tall.

Ticket is sold at RM 8.00, and only one movie will be screened for all timeslot everyday. It might have changed next year when I go back to Tawau for Chinese New Year celebration :) I don't have any photo of the cinema yet, will try to get one next year (so long!!!)

Fender Stratacoustic - My First Acoustic Guitar!

I made up my mind to get a guitar so that I could help out with the worship in cell group as well as for future preparation. Fender Stratacoustic - a semi acoustic guitar according to Tommy, is a nice guitar not only because of its design, but also the sound that it produced. Indeed, it may not be as good as some acoustic guitar such as Taylor, but I do appreciate it overall, and most of all - it suites me! Right now I'm trying to make time constantly to practice with it, for I never play guitar before and never take up any guitar lessons as well (financial reason). Tommy used to play guitar (can be considered as pro as he can play guitar very well) so I asked him to teach me some skill. Can't wait to play it for my cell group worship within sometime this year!

My Gunpla collection !!!

Here's a few photoes of my Gunpla collection, which I took it recently. I have never have a chance to put up all my Gunpla together, therefore I would like to take this opportunity to take the photoes before I don't have the access to the digital camera.

MG Wing Zero Custom 1/100

This is my MG Wing Zero Custom, which I have purchased sometime ago. Compare to my previous HG Wing Zero, the detailing and structure of the model is very nice. Plus, in comparison with PG Wing Zero, I personally prefered the Wing of the MG version to the PG version because of the skeleton at the wing portion of the PG version, which I don't really like. If they are able to come out with another PG Wing Zero Custom that is similar to the MG version, that would be nice. Here's some photo that I took.

Chinese New Year!!!

This year is quite not my time of Chinese New Year, which I wonder how will it happened again if I'm going to face this kind of problem again next year...

Both Tommy and I were not able to check-in to our scheduled flight due to the problem with the long queue. We were there at the airport 1 hour before departure (normally domestic fligh stated that we should be 45 minutes before departure should be there, so we actually have quite some time to check-in), but when it's our turn they don't allow us to check in because it has already closed. I got so frustrated that I slammed on the table, which I really blaming them for not doing their work. Without any other thought, I kept on claiming how they should do their work!!! And I know that it's worthless to talk to them for they will not listen anyway... Well, they are just working, and it's my fault as well for getting so frustrated and allow my anger to release... How I don't like this airline company is because that they don't have really good contact with their customer, compare to the other one where if they knew there's going to be a long queue, they will actually have people to come out to arrange for another special counter in order to faster the check-in process.

Anyway, my fiancee is there to help me to settle the ticket issue with the airline company. We were able to upgrade to business class, which we have to stay overnight at Kota Kinabalu. We were able to reach back home around 9.00 am the next day just in time for the visiting during Chinese New Year. My relatives keep on making fun out of us, for missing the flight :((...

But I felt bad this time for releasing my anger at people... I don't feel really good about it, which I... Have no any excuses for it. Also, I sensed that there is no peace in this house, which I wonder why... And I'm not able to get through my itchie itchie mind again, which added to another of not peace... It's the fault of myself, not anybody else.

Well, give thanks during bad time and good time. Just give thanks.

Target lock... Hopefully...

In this year, I just hope to see that things that I wished can come to pass... I just hope to overcome my itchy mind and itchy eyes, able to save money to get a house this year, able to play a guitar so that I could help out with cell group's worship session, and also to speak and understand the foreign language that I'm learning.

Things have become tougher, for life is not as easy and it's never being easy. There shall be unknown factor that will raise up all of a sudden to interrupt the things that we are doing, or to destroy someone life just in a flash of the eye. But what is important now, is to overcome such situation with a heart that stand strong against the storm.

We are just human being on earth that could do right and wrong since the day that the forbidden fruit has been eaten. We are here until now is not by who we are, but it's by the grace of the mighty one. We can do wrong things, but the mighty one is giving us time to correct our way before He come to conclude everything. Though many do not believe in Him, but for those who believed, we must set as an example to other in living out His glory.

I read the book that authorized by Him, and it's very profound that we should not deal with situation around us with our own understanding, brute force, or the way of the world; instead, we should deal with wisdom. The reason I mentioned this, is because some of us who believed in the mighty one, confronted the world without any understanding and doing it in such a way that normal people do, like demonstration. That's not wisdom, that's not how the characters in that book deal with the world. It doesn't help to solve problem but to help create an image that we are self-proclaimed self-righteous hypocrite.

I myself is not exception that I'm a human that could do wrong things. No one could say that he is righteous, because we are all fall short in His glory. I have my own weaknesses, that I know it's wrong, which I'm struggling and overcoming it until now. Sometime I'll fail in the struggle and give way to my wrong doing, and will feel guilty. And I'm grateful for each day, that I've another day to live to correct my wrong doing. It will haunt me forever and I'll have to struggle with it forever, but I'm grateful and thankful that He is there, because He is victorious, and His grace is sufficient for me over the struggle.

Amen

Strike Freedom (1/100)

Here's another Gundam from the Seed universe. The Strike Freedom and Destiny that I have are both limited first round edition, which come with a stand and a changeble bottom part for some posing. Same with Destiny, I've painted my Strike Freedom with a different colour scheme with the colour that I have.

Double Beam Saber

Strike Freedom's beam saber is not able to combine together, but its beam rifles are able to combine together, which is very distinguished and unique. It shows that Strike Freedom is more on fire power, therefore the double beam rifle is to represent its strength in that area; whereas Infinite Justice double beam saber is able to combine together, which represent that Infinite Justice is more powerful in terms of close combat.

Destiny (1/100)

I've finally have time to take some pictures of my Destiny 1/100. The colour scheme has changed a bit compare to the original colour scheme. The paint that I'm using are mostly metallic colour. Due to budget constraint, I'm painting this gunpla with the colour that I have.

Fix Figuration - Deep Striker Ken Zan!!!

This is a deep striker Super Gundam, a variation of S Gundam. I took this picture when I was at my friend's house, helping him to fix this figuration up. It is a 1/144 scale model kit.

PG GAT-X105 Strike Gundam Picture

I've finally have a chance to upload pictures of my PG Strike Gundam. These pictures are taken with Panasonic Lumix DMC-F8. The effect of the pictures are good, even though it may not look as clear as the digital SLR, but I'm satisified with it. I'm not the type that will spend like the whole day taking photo of every corner of this model kit, so I'll not spend too much time in detail of the photography.

Now, 1/100, 1/144 and 1/60 are actually scaling for the model kit. It shows the size or how tall the model kit is compare to the real things/real measurement (there won't be real Gundam unless they did make it behind their backyard). The scale is always measured with the height of the Gundam, which can be found on the manual or box. i.e. if the height of a Gundam is 18.00 Meter height, then the model kit height shall be 12.5 cm in 1/144 scale, 18.00 cm in 1/100 scale, and 30.00 cm in 1/60 scale.

The PG Strike below is in 1/60 scale.

Life... 30 December 2005

Well, it's another year pass by. Of course, there are always bad things and good things happening around every one, i.e. for me, emotional break down, financial crisis, doubtful future, new toys etc.

Whatever has happened, I thank God for His mercy that allowed me to live until this day. I recognized that even though it's a tough year, it's going to be tougher and tougher in the coming years. In the middle of this, is a process of growing to know Him and to understand His purpose for me in my life. If somebody asking me what is the purpose of my life that set by Him, I would say that the only purpose that I know since the first day I knew Him, is to walk with Him. As I read from the bible, I recognized that God does not want a robot, but He wants a person with feelings and do things with willingness and sincerity. He wants us to accept Him by our own willingness and not by force, thus it is written in Proverbs - "The preparation of heart is done by man", which after we are willing to prepare our heart for Him, then He will come into our heart and rescue us.

He has performed a lot of miracle during this year, which unfolded His purpose before His churches. I'm looking forward to see His glory shining over the whole world.

He blessed me, even though I'm not blessed with wealth, but I'm still blessed. He has chastens me and corrects me in many of my wrong doings; He trained me to overcome the feeling of loneliness by encourage me through His words; He comforted me when I felt distress; He taught me things on how to be a humble servant; And, He taught me how to give and bless other people.

As 2006 is coming, I'm waiting to fill another white paper by filling in the things that He shall revealed to the church.

Amen

PG GAT-X105 Strike Gundam Done!!!

I've finally done with my Strike Gundam. It took me like 2 sleepless night to finish this fully detailed Gunpla, but it was worth all the hardwork to see the end result.

I'm very amazed with how Bandai design this Gunpla. The leg, hand, torso, and fingers, are all moveable and can pose a lot of pose! It's indeed a job well done by Bandai (Apart from the decal, which is very difficult to stick onto the Strike body due to the cutting of the decal).

I've taken some photoes with it, but I haven't have a chance to upload it yet. I'm waiting for a chance to upload my photoes of my first PG collection. Of course, what is for a Strike if it's without its striker pack, so I'm currently saving money to get the PG Skygrasper with Aile Striker pack.
