I've finally finished painting this kit. It took me a long time to get the paint job done. Although I'm not a good painter, I'm still satisfy with it because at least it does not look so plastic.
The transformation for this kit is very hard to be done right especially for the arms and legs. If the arms and legs are not in the right place, the whole plane will be in a very bad shape, plus there's a possibility that the parts would break.
After this experience, I don't think I'd want to buy anymore of the VF-25 Macross kit because it's very time consuming to build it, especially with the paint job, 'coz I can't spare too much time to work on model nowadays. Still, I won't leave out the possibility that I'll be working on one in the future.

Perfect Grade 00 Raiser - November 2009 Release
Spotted on NgeeKhiong's blog, it is confirmed that the Perfect Grade (PG) of 00 Raiser will be released in November this year. It's a great news because instead of releasing the 0-Raiser separately, they do it all in one. GN Sword III is included, so it's going to be very cool.
Unfortunately, it came out so fast that my wallet has not been recover from the previous damage it receives from the PG Red Frame Astray, ouch... Anyway, will wait and see. One thing I did notice though for the PG Red Frame Astray, is that I could still find the initial run version in the market. Well, the problem is though, the initial run version costs a lot more as compare to the normal version, so one will have to pay extra RM 135 (from the shop that I purchased) just to get the freebies. I don't know why this kind of practice existed here, but apparently this is how it's done with all the shops that I've visited so far.
So, learning from this experience, I'll wait for a while after it's released to see if I could still get it in the market at a cheaper price.

Macross Frontier - 1/72 VF-25F Messiah Alto's Unit
Working on the Macross Frontier - 1/72 VF-25F Messiah Alto's Unit that I got sometime back (Can't really remember the time). It is now in the painting process and it's a difficult one because of the red & black stripe. The kit comes with a set of marking decals and a set of water slide decals. They are both the same and you could choose to use either one to decorate the kit.
Yet, I don't really want to use decal for the stripes because naturally the color of the decal just doesn't blend well with the paint, at least for me. So I decided to paint the stripes instead. It took me about 4 days to mask and paint. It turns out really nice despite some hiccups here and there, but hey it's worth the try. But despite the 4 days, I only managed to finish the paint on the torso and the wings only. This show how much works have to be done to work on the painting.
Did try to put the body together to test out the transformation. It turns out that the transformation can be very risky because you might get some broken plastic parts. I got a broken parts from the bottom part of the torso when I tried to do the transformation of the lower body part. It shows how fragile the plastic is. I couldn't do any repair to it for now because each time I put it back on, it will somehow break in another part, so I've decided to glue the broken pieces together instead without sanding anything. I'll be using this as an example to build the next Messiahs (VF-25S Ozma Lee, RVF-25, VF-25G).
